The innovative team behind DE-ZYN studios developed a “never achieved before” seamless high-definition Vortex Sculpture Visio experience for Carnival that has been used in three of their most recent ships: the Vista, Horizon and Panorama. The team created two spectacular vortex sculptures for each ship located in the Atrium and Casino which provide a totally new approach to the marriage of high-resolution display technology and image mapping technology. Imagery ranging from photo- realistic rain forest canopies, coral reefs and nature close-ups to surreal, swirling architectural “looks” and cascading water are mapped onto the complex curves of the 45-foot tall Vortex. In the Atrium, the images extend out beyond the Vortex on the ceiling to to six visual portals adding to the illusion of spanning seamless media.
